My daughter’s school is in need of some computers. They just do not have the money in the budget to purchase some new ones. I suggested to the other parents that maybe we could have a fundraiser and have all the proceeds go to purchasing some for them. Everyone loved my idea, but still thought we might be getting in over our heads, with the price of new computers and all.

I got online that night to come up with fundraising ideas and instead ended up finding a website where you could buy a used dell for a lot lower than if you bought one new. I called up one of the other moms and told her what I had found. She suggested that we find out what used poweredge servers would work best in the school and then figure how many we could buy with what our projected profit was going to be.

We had our fundraiser and raised enough money to put a used dell in every classroom at my daughter’s school. We even made sure that each teacher was okay with the used poweredge servers they were given. There was a big party to celebrate the new computers and I was given a special award for helping to organize everything.
