Onset Bay Inn

The window guards that I had added to my home last year helped to lower the cost of my house insurance. I had been paying a very high premium after there had been a few acts of crime committed very close to my home. I decided to add the window guards for a sense of security for me and my family. My two year old daughter’s room was on the first floor and mine was on the second floor so I needed to have peace of mind every night that when we went to bed, she would be safe.

I had never figured that when the insurance company came out to reevaluate my property, they would lower the rate. I asked them if there was anything else that I could do to the house and they gave me a list of a few things including installing security screen doors and an alarm system, there were other things but these were two that I figured would make me feel more secure also.

I am having the security screen doors installed next week and by the end of the year I will get the alarm system. The insurance company told me to call them when I had those two things completed and they would come, inspect the house, and see if I qualified for a further reduction in the price of my homeowners insurance.
