I really wanted to get some boys pajamas for my niece since she does not like anything pink or frilly. I wanted her to be completely comfortable, and thought that maybe footed pajamas would do the trick. I know that my brother and sister in law were having a hard time with my niece and her wanting to wear boys clothes but I really thought that it was just a phase that she would grow out of it very soon and then be back on track about the time she hit high school.

I called and discussed the situation with my friend who is a therapist and she seems to think that getting her some boys pajamas is harmless and that maybe by wearing them at night where no one could see them, would ease the tension with her parents. I ordered some blue and green footie pajamas for her and hand delivered them to her.

She was so happy to see that they were not nightgowns and they were not pink that she gave me a big hug and kiss and thanked me for not trying to make her be something that she is not.

The entire phase of wearing the boys clothes only lasted for about two years and she is now back to wearing girls clothes like skirts, high heels and even make up.
