Onset Bay Inn

The used point of sale equipment salesman stopped by my store yesterday and tried to get me to pay the ridiculous prices he charges for some new things. I knew that I needed to replace some of my scanners and such but I could never afford to buy them new.

I had discovered a website that sells some used pos equipment that is priced much lower than what the salesman offers. I am sure that he makes commission and so his company has to add that amount on to the cost of the products. The website offers many of their used point of sale equipment at about thirty to forty percent less than the salesman, so I am betting that he makes about that much.

I really like him but I am not sure why he keeps coming back week after week to see if I want to buy anything from him. You would think that when he comes in and I have some new to us used pos equipment he would get the hint that I am not going to buy from him, and that I obviously already have a different salesman or provider that I would rather use. I always wait to see if he asks me where we get our stuff, but he never does.
